Our last vacation was great! But on the other hand it's not good when something you see inside a new home isn't looking right, don't you think? Oh well, our two cabinets inside our walk-in closet were invaded with wood borers. Our suspect were termites at first, but I tried to look at it online, and they are really wood borers! Hate it! I should have taken photos of them, but I find it a gross...lol! The tiny fine holes started to get bigger and bigger, and the holes were all on the cabinet doors. So, we thought of just replacing the doors for a new one rather than treating them. Our engineer contractor suggested to just replace the entire cabinets and replace the wooden doors with sliding glass doors. We entrusted him to replace it with a pre treated wood of some sort or just choosing wood that are of good quality that are not easy invaded by wood pests.
Another thing is that we also thought of adding more shelves in it. Thanks to the ideas of our ever reliable attorney-in-fact, a.k.a. "iyay" (sis-in-law) lol! Here are the drawings of the plan. It's not the best drawing, but it's clear enough how we wanted it to be! ;)

So, today, the entire cabinets were already taken off from the wall! We will give more updates once they have started working on it! We're keeping our fingers crossed, everything will all be done right.
Meanwhile our bathrooms (up and down) were remodeled as well. Both toilets, up and down, and the sinks were changed! It was just so disappointing that the quality of the toilet bowls and the sinks were of low quality!

See The Difference!
We also changed the floor tiles...the bathroom floor downstairs were raised up where the toilet and the sink area are, - to have proper water drainage during cleaning and to prevent pooling of water if ever there are spills. Yes, I tell you, the drainage was bad when the house was originally constructed! [sigh!}. The one upstairs were still as is. There seems to be no problem with the water drainage up there, so that was good!
More updates later! Complete photos will be posted sooner. I would say probably on our next visit again! :).
