Instead of using a cement, designed stones are installed mostly on the car port area and extended further for the walkway going to the main door as well. The plain area (without stones) will be a place for a future mini garden. We plan to have that area landscaped later with some floral plants perhaps and some Indian trees possibly that has to be grown in front.
The original plan was to put a temporary fence surrounding the house. It's almost a month that I have been sleeping a little less because of dog barks and dog fights that happen during the night. Then in the morning, I would see dog poop on my doorsteps, and the trash scattered all around out from the trash bag. I tried to let the trash stay inside during the night but it stinks like crazy!! So, I thought of calling Craig and it's the time to decide!
After a long talk, we finally were able to decide on letting a concrete fence be installed instead of a temporary fence. I was able to find the guy who does the fence by the name of Hector ;). He told me the concrete fence can be done within 45 days, 30 days the shortest. After a long discussion on the construction plan, the construction work started right away after paying the down payment of the total labor cost. Then payment would be provided every after 2 weeks as agreed upon, until it will be paid in full in 4 payments. Hector seems to be doing a great job! We thought he only does the fence and some minor construction works, but to our surprise, he is a civil engineer and has his own work force to do all types of construction jobs. Here are the photos on the progress of our house fence. Finally, our prepaid cable subscription, (Cignal TV) was finally installed. I managed to take a photo on the antenna which was attached on the front of the house. We thought of choosing Cignal TV because it seems it is the only one that offers a prepaid subscription. There is a black box that comes with the installment and in it is a slot where you insert the prepaid card which is loadable. It's basically the same as you would when you use a prepaid phone card, only that you use it for a cable subscription. |
