Cebu Twin City Tour
Our early flight to Cebu was smooth, and arrived promptly on time! We were picked up by the tour company's van and took us up right away to our first itinerary stop. The first stop was in Mactan Shrine, where we met our tour guide. Ahhh!...those days where I recalled memorizing years and dates in my Philippine history subject!...lol! I was mostly familiar with it, but it was a good thing having a tour guide for Craig ;).
We had some good photos there for all of us!
Next stop after shopping was our visit to Yap-San Diego Old House; - one of the oldest Spanish house that's still standing, which was built in the 16th century. This house is full of history which was very interesting! The tour guide did well, so we gave him a much deserving tip! ;).
Considering that it is a non-Christian place of worship, there were rituals about making wishes which we didn't bother to try. We were there for the fact that we wanted to explore its unique architecture and learn some of the cultural practices as well as the spiritual beliefs, plus we enjoyed the views and the artistic work of arts of the temple. It was a nice and productive experience to end the day before we went back to our hotel. We checked in mid-afternoon, so we had time to snooze, then explored the area later to find some place to eat our dinner. We ended up walking a few blocks going to a plaza where we saw Chowking; - a fast food place. It was not busy, so we took our dinner there.
